We have a new state billiards champion for the first time in 13 years; Roger Farebrother. In the final Roger defeated Michael Pearson in a dogfight . 500-421. Rhonda Knight refereed her first state title Billiards event and did a wonderful job in a tense and edgy match.

The 2019 WORLD BILLIARDS CHAMPIONSHIP which is being held at the RACV Club in Melbourne from the 5-12 October has now released the ticketing information.

This was the inaugural running of the new short format Minor Billiards event. This event will become a regular annual tournament recognising the increasing popularity of the shorter match lengths than the traditional timed Billiards events.

Congratulations to Michael Pearson on winning his fifth NSW Billiards Championship and joining an elite club to achieve that milestone. Michael took out the three hour final 761-613 over 13 times NSW champion Joe Minici.

Joe Minici who had already won 12 previous State titles went on to record "lucky' 13 by defeating Michael Pearson who himself was chasing title number 5.

Rooty Hill once again played host to the 2016 State Minor Grade Billiard Title. A field of 16 players contested the event in a 4 group round robin format. Well done to Michael Hough in winning the event. 

Mount Pritchard has once again hosted the NSW Billiard Championships. This year’s championships saw a field of 32 players, the largest field assembled in decades in any state of Australia.

Newcastle based player Grant Schubert has won this year’s NSW State minor grade billiard title held at Rooty Hill RSL.

20 players contested the belated 2013 NSW State Billiard titles held at Mounties for the first time in the event history. We had a great attendance of spectators on the Saturday and the great facilities and number of tables at Mount Pritchard allowed players to have plenty of match play. 

The NSW Minor billiards was held at Mingara this weekend and last years Minor Snooker winner Adam Fitzgerald has backed it up by winning the billiards this year. The weekend was enjoyed by all who played with some tuff round robin matches going right to the wire. With a small field of 12 runners the matches were extended to 11/2 hrs in round robin and the players loved the table time. The top players from each group advanced to the Semi-finals on Sunday with semi 2hrs and final 3hrs.

The NSW State Billiards Championship was held on the weekend of the 2nd and 3rd of June at Rooty Hill RSL Club in Sydney. The Championship doubled as a tribute to Bill Hart who passed away earlier in the year who was a loyal member of the Club and contributed to our sport for many many years. 

The 2012 NSW State Minor Billiards Championship was held at Guildford Leagues Club on the weekend of the 5th and 6th of May. 16 players contested the event which was eventually won by Hassan Kerde from Sydney. Hassan defeated Allan Muscio 805 - 533 in the 2.5 hour final.
