Welcome to our Junior Hubs, a dedicated initiative designed to provide young snooker players with enhanced access to quality coaching and development opportunities. Led by SBNSW Director of Coaching, Andy DeHaan, the Junior Hubs program aims to nurture talent, foster lifelong friendships, and build a strong snooker community for juniors across New South Wales.
Our program is all about providing juniors with the tools they need to grow both as players and individuals. Every coach involved in the program is certified and holds a Working With Children Certificate, ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment.
What We Offer:
Quality Coaching: All snooker coaching is based on the WPBSA ‘White to Black’ coaching manual, a comprehensive guide that covers essential skills and techniques. Our experienced coaches will guide students through the levels, helping them develop their game and reach their full potential.
Development Opportunities: Junior players will have the chance to enhance their skills, improve their technique, and take part in regular assessments and coaching sessions. With structured progression, the journey from beginner to advanced player is made clear and achievable.
Equipment Support: We aim to support our Junior Hubs with access to equipment such as cues and welcome packs, helping players feel fully equipped for their snooker journey.
Creating Friendships: Beyond the game, the Junior Hubs are all about creating an environment where juniors can make lasting friendships. Snooker is a sport that brings people together, and we hope our program will inspire collaboration and camaraderie both on and off the table.
Junior Events: We plan to run events between the Hubs to encourage player growth, healthy competition, and the chance to test skills against others. These events are an exciting way to bring the junior snooker community together and develop strong competitive spirit.
