There are many ways to contribute to the growth of the sport and be part of a thriving, inclusive community. Find out how you can get involved.

Development

We are committed to supporting and growing women’s snooker across the state through a range of initiatives. This includes social events and tournaments like the successful 2021 Wests Illawarra Women’s Championship & Development Seminar.

In 2024, we introduced the Empower Snooker Invitational – a handicap-format event aimed at boosting female participation and raising the profile of women’s snooker throughout NSW.

In 2025, we launched a new project to increase the number of female referees in the sport. This initiative provides funding for referee training workshops and supports the accreditation process, helping to develop a more inclusive and diverse community of female officials in snooker.

Junior Girls’ Snooker & Billiards in NSW

Junior girls are an important part of the snooker and billiards community in NSW.

In 2024, we were fortunate to have enough entrants to run an Under 21 Women’s event, with Huntah Lynch taking out the title after a fantastic final against her sister, Milla Lynch.

NSW is also proudly represented by junior girls in both the Australian Junior Championships and the Australian Junior Teams Challenge, where they continue to impress with their skills and dedication.

Additionally, both the Asia Pacific Women’s Snooker Championship and the WWS Australian Women’s Open Snooker Championship often feature Under 21 Women’s side-events, providing more opportunities for young female players to compete at a high level.

Through our Junior Hubs program, we continue to foster the development of young talent, offering coaching, equipment support, and a community of like-minded players. We’re always looking to welcome new girls into the sport – come and give it a try!
