BSANSW would like to extend our deepest condolences to the Deguara family and friends. Charlie was a magnificent man, always a character, Charlie will be mourned throughout NSW and the greater Australian Snooker community.

Unfortunately this only just came to our attention that Herbert Charles Mangelsdorf, a previous long standing patron of the NSW Billiards and Snooker Association passed away on the 19th of October 2014. 

Trev’s overall knowledge, mentoring ability and friendship will undoubtedly be missed by many people. But perhaps we can honour his memory best by remembering his calm and confident manner; his pride and professionalism; his dedication and commitment - and hold these qualities up as the perfect role model for the next generation of snooker and billiards referees to aspire to.

Some general comments made as to Bill’s character and passion for regularly acting in capacity as Tournament Director at official events for many, many years. Special mention made about how regular players will no doubt miss his presence in the room and the familiar question of… “what’s your name, again?”
