APSBF Snooker Championships
Entries are now open for the APSBF Championships, to be held at the Commercial Club Albury, from 22–28 March.
These championships bring together leading players from across the Asia Pacific region to compete in Under 21, Women’s and Open events.
The championships form part of the international snooker pathway, with the winner of the Open event earning a two-year World Snooker Tour (WST) Tour Card.

Empower Snooker Invitational
A Weekend of Snooker, Connection and Fun
Now in its 3rd year, the Empower Snooker Invitational is a handicapped snooker event for women and is suitable for all skill levels. It’s a fun and inclusive weekend of snooker, bringing players together to enjoy competition, meet new friends and catch up with old ones. The event also features great prizes, with gift bags for all players.
Entry is just $30, with free entry for junior girls, and includes SBNSW membership through to 30 June 2026.
We are also proud to once again have the generous support of The Snooker Shop, who are donating the major Lucky Door Prize for the event, an Eagle Cues cue valued at $1,000, with the winner able to choose any Eagle Cue in stock up to that value! In addition, they are helping us fill the player gift bags with quality products, adding even more value to the weekend!

Empower Snooker Invitational
Snooker & Billiards NSW is excited to introduce the inaugural 'Empower Snooker Invitational', a new women’s handicap event, dedicated to promoting female participation and raising the visibility of Women's Snooker throughout NSW.
This exclusive tournament for female players will be held at the impressive Newcastle City Snooker Club on June 29-30, 2024.
Open to all female players in NSW, this handicapped event ensures equal opportunities for all participants - where the focus is on enjoyment over fierce competition.
Entry fee includes FREE Snooker & Billiards NSW membership for 1 year n(to 30 June 2025). Just $30 for women, $0 for juniors.
We invite all women & girls in NSW with an interest in cue sports to participate!

Wests Illawarra Women's Snooker Championship
Hello ladies!
Snooker & Billiards NSW is excited to be moving ahead with this Women's National ranking event & development camp in May, after being postponed in 2020 due to COVID-19.
I would love for you to be a part of this exciting event
Snooker & Billiards NSW (with Theresa Whitten's assistance) have secured NSW Government funding to assist with a new project which includes a snooker ‘development camp’ and incorporates a new national women’s ranking event. The project focuses on building skills through coaching, sports psychology, team building, competitive match-play and other activities to help female players improve/hone their abilities. This will be relevant and useful for players of all abilities.We're also hoping to utilise as many female referees as possible, so that we're able to really showcase women's abilities in all facets of our game! Travel subsidies will be available for all players, which will assist with the average cost of flights (or car travel) from most major locations around Australia. (accommodation & entry fee will be at players expense). More information on this to follow soon.
WESTS ILLAWARRA WOMEN'S SNOOKER CHAMPIONSHIP
DATES: 21 - 23 MAY 2021
VENUE: Wests Illawarra Leagues Club, 1 Hargreaves St, Unanderra NSW
ENTRY FEE: $80.00 (Under 21’s - FREE)
NOMINATIONS CLOSE: 10th May 2021
Prize Money: $1500 sponsorship (minimum) + entry fees
The event itself will run over 2.5 - 3 days. Here's a rough outline (final details to be confirmed):
Day 1: Start approx midday (allows players to arrive in the morning if needed). Half day seminar with speakers covering a number of topics, coaching, and welcome function/ dinner. (Seminar attendance is a requirement of tournament entry)
Day 2: Start 9am. Tournament - round robin groups
Day 3: Start 9am. Tournament - quarter finals onwards. Additional mini coaching clinics (either small groups or one-on-one), for those players that are interested. Limited sessions, based on table availability.
Closing ceremony/ presentation - with light refreshments.
Our wonderful venue & sponsor, Wests Illawarra Leagues Club will be contributing $1500 in sposorship, all of which will go towards prize money. This is a terrific venue, with great facilities including a recently refurbished snooker room with 6 tables.
They are located in Unanderra (about an hour south of Sydney, near Wollongong).
If you know of any ladies and/or junior girls that may be interested, please encourage them to join us.
We're very excited about this project, and hope to see many of you pariticpate!
