Seven Hills - Toongabie RSL Help Revitalise Snooker and Billiards in Clubs

Over the last 20 years NSW has seen a gradual decline in snooker tables in our partnering Clubs with many players having to gravitate towards the more established venues like Mounties, Club Marconi and Blacktown Workers in Sydney that boast over 20 full sized tables.

Following the hosting of the WSF World Championships at Mounties in Sydney earlier this year, there has been an increased interest in Clubs wanting to install world class tables which are crucial facilities to help with pathways to international representation. Mounties converted their snooker room to a world class venue by installing steel block cushions on all ten tables, Peradon LED lights and electronic score boards.

We are pleased to now advise that the the new billiards and snooker room at Seven Hills - Toongabie RSL has been extensively rebuilding for the last three years and have installed 4 world class Shender Prince tables with steel rails and 30oz cloth in their new room. A further 2 tables have been purchased and will be installed at a later date subject to the performance of the venue. Thanks to the the President and Board of the club for their strong support in making this happen.

Based in the western suburbs of Sydney NSW, Seven Hills RSL has been a central hub for billiards and snooker in Sydney and NSW over the years. This facility is available for all Club members. Seven Hills RSL has been a mainstay of the sport for over sixty years and has supported some of the best players in Australia.

The Billiards and Snooker interclub has been representing the Club all through the rebuilding and can't wait to play again on home turf.

The billiards and snooker committee are committed to have a friendly, community orientated environment with teams in a number of competitions covering all grade of play. Junior players, enabled players and members wishing to learn the games will be catered for along with family competition.

With the support of Billiards and Snooker NSW we look forward to hosting State and National tournaments in the near future.
