2024 NSW State Junior Snooker & Billiards Championships

Congratulations to Jason Yu who won the U18 & U15 Snooker and was a semi finalist in the U18 Billiards, Jason played very well over the weekend and made the highest break of 43 along the way.

/Andy de Haan, with Hornsby RSL Snooker Club, has initiated two ‘Try Snooker’ days for the kids over the Christmas break at Hornsby RSL. This is a fantastic initiative designed to introduce boys & girls to the game and involves group coaching covering the basics, building social interaction and confidence.
Sessions will be conducted on 12th and 19th January with 2 sessions each day.
10am – 1.00pm and 2.00pm to 5.00pm.

Starting early February, they will also continue with their weekly junior coaching sessions every Monday 3.30pm to 6.00pm, and seniors coaching sessions on Mondays 6.00pm to 7.00pm.

The NSW Junior Championships for 2018 were held over the weekend at Hornsby RSL Club. Congratulations to Denzel Nicholson from Bathurst who took out both the Snooker and Billiards events.

This year’s event was held at Bathurst Panthers Leagues Club. The current U18 state champions (Scott Middleton) home town and as there were a few other locals’ interested and not much response from any Sydney players registered. There were four locals’ players, another player from Lithgow and one from the Central Coast.
