Read MoreThis years titles were held at BLACKTOWN WORKERS CLUB for the third year running. The event attracted 53 entries 10 more than last year and 19 more from 2012. It was a huge program to get through, to enable what would most certainly be a very high quality final to be showcased.
Read MoreThe 2014 NSW State Women’s “Minor” Snooker Championship has been won by promising cueist Annette Clifford from Coffs Harbour. Clifford’s victory has matched the effort of her fellow Club Coffs player Judy White-Singh, who won the same title last year.

Read MoreThe minors this year were held again at Toukley RSL on the central coast, a wonderful spot for a weekend away and a spot of snooker. The club itself is very comfortable and friendly and of course has excellent facilities.
Read MoreThe final, which was played as a best of 7 between Joe Minici and Roger Farebrother, proved to be a great quality final. With more than 30 people watching the final, Club Marconi's Roger Farebrother proved too strong for a Joe. Joe was not playing as well all weekend, but showed his class the whole tournament to scrape through his matches. Eventually Roger taking out the title with a 4-1 win. Roger also claimed the tournament high break with a lovely 81.
20 players contested the belated 2013 NSW State Billiard titles held at Mounties for the first time in the event history. We had a great attendance of spectators on the Saturday and the great facilities and number of tables at Mount Pritchard allowed players to have plenty of match play.

The current U18 state champions (Scott Middleton) home town and as there were a few other locals’ interested and not much response from any Sydney players registered. There were four locals’ players, another player from Lithgow and one from the Central Coast.

Read MoreThe NSW Minor billiards was held at Mingara this weekend and last years Minor Snooker winner Adam Fitzgerald has backed it up by winning the billiards this year. The weekend was enjoyed by all who played with some tuff round robin matches going right to the wire. With a small field of 12 runners the matches were extended to 11/2 hrs in round robin and the players loved the table time. The top players from each group advanced to the Semi-finals on Sunday with semi 2hrs and final 3hrs.

Runner-up in this event in 2011, Judy was the form player this year and thoroughly deserved her victory. The Championship was staged on 15th – 16th June at Club Toukley RSL.

The last 16 saw two of these favourites suffer defeat as both Luke Hough and Rob Elsley lost their matches on a deciding frame to Danny Townsend and Ali Gangi respectively.
